3D-Printing in Fashion
Project was created by designer Snezhana Paderina as an experiment in using 3D-printed details in a fashion design for Parsons Challenge.
Video was made in association with video production group Studio Grande.
My IT-background is what really driving me and what gives me an inspiration. I had been studying information security at university and worked as programmer.
I would love to promote high technologies in the field of fashion. 3D-printing for me is a great way to involve new design techniques in the fashion design. Furthermore, it is a chance for an aspiring fashion (accessory, shoes) designer to achieve a whole new level of design process and to fully perform his or her creative ideas.
The idea of the project was to use 3D-printed inserts in a wearable garments, not only to showcase but also to actually wear these clothes.
